Suspect arrested after weapon and drugs seized in restaurant disturbance
The Windsor Police Service has arrested a suspect and seized a prohibited weapon and illicit drugs following a disturbance at a restaurant.
Shortly after 1 p.m. on June 30, 2025, officers responded to reports of a male causing a disturbance and threatening patrons at a restaurant in the 90 block of Wyandotte Street East. Witnesses reported the suspect was armed and challenging others to fight.
Officers quickly arrived on scene and arrested the suspect without incident. No physical injuries were reported.
A subsequent search led to the seizure of a pair of brass knuckles, approximately 31.6 grams of fentanyl, 30 hydromorphone tablets, and over $5,100 in cash.
Shaun Lewenza, 45, has been charged with the following offences:
Possession of a prohibited weapon
Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (x 2)
Failure to comply with a probation order (x 3)
