Residential fire causing life-threatening injuries under investigation

 

The Windsor Police Service has launched an investigation following a residential fire, which left one person with life-threatening injuries.

Shorty after 3:30 p.m. on June 12, 2025, police responded to a report of an active fire at a house in the 700 block of Pelissier Street. Officers arrived to find heavy smoke and flames at the residence. Windsor Fire and Rescue Services worked to extinguish the blaze.

A 43 year-old man was located with significant burns and transported to hospital for treatment.

The Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM) has launched an investigation into this occurrence.

Investigators ask residents and business owners in the area to check their surveillance or dashcam footage for possible evidence.
