Suspected arson investigation underway


The Windsor Police Service Arson Unit has launched an investigation following a suspicious fire at a property in east Windsor.

Shortly after 2 a.m. on May 29, 2025, officers responded to an active fire at a mixed-use building in the 1600 block of Drouillard Road. Windsor Fire & Rescue Services were dispatched and successfully extinguished the blaze.

While no one was injured in the incident, the structure sustained an estimated $250,000 in damages.

Following a preliminary investigation, the Windsor Police Arson Unit has deemed the fire to be suspicious in nature. Residents and business owners in the area are urged to check their surveillance or dash cam footage for evidence.
